It is sometimes hard to sustain long-term intensity, discipline and focus when challenged, especially as Americans, but as people, overall. As it is often stated, we are “only human.” Yet, this process with the pandemic is pushing us to do just that. For the greater good of protecting the health of all and of halting the spread of this scourge, we must remain in a state of heightened vigilance. We are required to restrain our natural impulses to connect with friends and family in these warm and beautiful summer months, to grow our businesses, to relax and have celebrations. We must hold ourselves back and continue to change our lives for everyone’s safety. We are still in the battle, and it is not easy for any of us.
When I think of that term, “we are only human,” I like to change it to “we are magnificently human.” And yes, it is not easy for human beings to remain in heightened vigilance, to sustain high levels of discipline and restraint, but we human beings are also magnificent, glorious, miraculous. We are capable of great things, far greater than we have nurtured thus far.
This time in history is asking us to be more than we have ever before been. To come to know and express the higher aspects of individual and collective human nature. To heal and release our wounds and fears, to purge the pain and darkness of the past, to rise to align with our higher natures and to become more illumined. We are walking the great and challenging path of the Warrior.
As we work to “stay the course” on this rigorous journey, it is helpful to remember that in being “magnificently human,” we are both flawed and Divine. We may make mistakes, we may have healing and growing to do, but we are also glorious. We are also capable of greatness. We are far more than we have ever believed ourselves to be. We are drawn to stories of the battle between good and evil, of kings and queens, of ladies and knights, because we are noble at heart! We are born of the miraculous, one with the miraculous and capable of the miraculous!
Let us “knight” ourselves in this time. Let us test our metal. Let us be more than we have ever been. Let us push ourselves beyond our history. Let us see what we are capable of without our limiting thoughts and patterns. Let us wholeheartedly choose the path of the Wise, of the Warrior, of the Noble. Let us create a Blessed New World, a Kingdom rich with Love, Heart, Oneness & Compassion.
